Off to Texas...

Well it's time to jet off to one of my favorite weekend getaways...College Station, Texas. It's maybe not the most common place to vacation but I always have a blast. People always ask why i'm going to Texas... and of course it's because my boyfriend goes to Texas A&M.  I'm really really really excited to go!!! I'm looking forward to seeing real grass!!! All this snow is giving me cabin fever so i'm hoping to do some fun stuff outside too.
Heres a fun Youtube video on the "spirit of Aggieland" for those of you who don't know alot about A&M, it's a pretty cool place (the CUSE is wonderful too of course)

And this is a pic from the last time I was in Texas.
Can't wait.....I'll be back Sunday for the Superbowl!

Leave my Girl J-Simp Alone!!!!

News Flash: Jessica Simpson is NOT fat. I have met the girl and she is the tinest person. Just because she isn't starving herself like she did when she was Daisy Duke doesn't mean she is by any means fat. She is at her "happy weight" so just let her be. Geez...I can't believe legitimate news organizations were calling her "Jumbo Jess"...what kind of message does that send young girls? Good for you Jess eat fried chicken and behave like a real southern girl.

The Flicker Elf

Flicker...Clicker...remote...flipper...channel changer...
you know what I'm talking about....that thing that works the t.v.
Here's what I have to say about the flicker....I can never find the damn thing. We apparently have a flicker elf. There is no way that it is always missing. There is some cruel Elf that was unfit for Santa's workshop who is now living in our apartment stealing our remotes. Or perhaps it's a squirrel ( i have experience)?
Whatever is the case it seems to be the household item that is never around when you need it.

Obama Moves Into The White House

...Or as I called it when I was 4 years old, driving through our nation's capital for the first time, "the pink house". Of course, the dream house I was familiar with at the time was Barbie's Dream House. Speaking of funny things 4 year olds say....today when i was babysitting I had a conversation with one of my favorite 4 year olds about Obama's Inauguration:

Me: Did you know today we get a new President?
      Sara: Barrack Obama?
Me: Yes,  today is his first day at work.
     Sara: He's never worked before?

Classic.
